In our Aquaspin™ stories we like to talk about our regular Riders, those who, just like you, have decided to get stronger healthier and have some fun with us.
This story is Lana’s. She joined almost 3 years ago with one goal : WEIGHT LOSS. She kindly agreed to share her wonderful fitness journey with us. Thank you. We are so proud of you Lana, and we hope your story will inspire others to take the healthy path!
Here a few questions we asked Lana :
1. WHAT WAS YOUR MAIN FEAR BEFORE YOUR FIRST AQUASPIN™ CLASS?
I feared that it would turn out like my previous experiences with such fitness programmes i.e. not amounting to any sustainable outcome. I have tried many and all of them have been quite a disappointment, from overcrowding to premature closedown (of their centres/venues) to simply the inability on their part to provide a good customised programme tailored to individual needs.
2. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO JOIN US?
I heard of spinning and did some research on it. A friend in the UK had also started on it and she highly recommended it. While researching on it I chanced upon the Aquaspin™ programme in Singapore. It sounded very adventurous and since I enjoy being in the water, I decided to give it a try.
3. HOW DID YOU FEEL AFTER YOUR FIRST SESSION?
It was tough but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think that was what made me sign up. I remember feeling my legs turn to jelly, which to me was a good sign. However, to be honest I was also wary. What if I had to sign up and pay one lump sum for an entire programme only to find out that I hated it after a few more sessions? That’s where the pay-per-session structure is really good.
4. WHAT GOT YOU HOOKED ON AQUASPIN™?
The sessions are tough but they are a lot of fun. The trainers I’ve trained with have been able to make the sessions thoroughly enjoyable and that’s important. If sessions are going to be mundane and trainers are boring, no one would stick around.
5. WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO TRAIN WITH US?
I was personally assessed by Alicia. I was impressed at the trial session by how genuinely invested she was in ensuring that I knew what needed to be done for healthy weight loss. She was honest about things that some fitness centres would gloss over i.e. motivation, diet and time spent on fitness outside of the sessions. They take good care of you even outside of the sessions, giving pointers, advice and tips.
6. INITIAL SIZE VS CURRENT SIZE (We do not believe in the scale)
I am now a size S-M (from L-XL) for tops and I have gone down from UK 14-16 to a UK 12-14 for bottoms, only because I have more problems with my lower body.
7. HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY?
I feel healthy and good about myself. I am also a happier person ever since I started my regular fitness routine with Aquaspin™. My migraines and dark circles are reduced to almost being gone.
8. WOULD YOU RECOMMEND AQUASPIN™ FOR PERSONAL TRAINING?
Yes, definitely! You won’t find any other trainers more invested in your goals than the ones from Aquaspin™. If they had been rubbish I wouldn’t have lasted with them and I’ve been with them since 2014. It’s also value for money, time and effort. You get to pick the days, time and frequency to train. You could opt for paying as you go per session or for a package of 10 with 1 free session, which in my opinion are equally value for money.
